Mindfulness for Teens! - NEW

Mindfulness for Teens!
In this eight-week training you will learn a specific way of paying attention that kids all around the world have found to help them with their friends, parents, brothers, sisters, enemies, schoolwork, sports, and other activities.
You learn to feel your breath, your body, your thoughts, your feelings in a different way. This way of paying attention is very powerful because when you learn to observe your thoughts and feelings, you can learn to choose what you say and how you act. And choosing your words and actions can make a positive change in your life.
More than twenty-five years of research have proven that mindfulness increases attention and focus, it reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and helps to deal differently with difficult emotions. Mindfulness can support increas in well-being, resilience and joyfulness.
Mindfulness is used by professional athletes, artist, musicians, business people, teachers, healthcare professionals, lawyers, in politics, in schools, and by people like you and I.

Elisabeth (Dutch) is trained in offering Mindfulness programs (MBSR/MBCT-L) and workshops to the general public and has been doing so since 8 years in the Aljezur area. Three years ago she followed a teacher training for bringing mindfulness to kids and teens, with Amy Witzman (USA) from the program Still Quiet Place.
A recent request from one of her participants to roll out this program for teens has moved her into setting up this program for the first time in this area. Besides mindfulness trainer, Elisabeth also works as a birth doula and retreat facilitator and is mother of a 5 year old daughter. To find out more about her and her work, see www.mindful-liz.eu.
